Description
Tests oil pump pressure and also low oil warning devices. It is fitted with quick coupling adapters and 1200mm of hose. Includes 90 degree coupling adapter for limited access applications. Gauge fitted with heavy-duty cover. Adapter 1: R 1/8" 2999; Adapter 2: 1/8" x 27 NPT; Adapter 3: 1/4" x 18 NPT; Adapter 4: 3/8" x 20 UNF; Adapter 5: 1/2" x 20 UNF; Adapter 6: M10 x 1; Adapter 7: M12 x 1.5; Adapter 8: M14 x 1.5; Adapter 9: M16 x 1.5; Adapter 10: M18 x 1.5. Instruction Choose a suitable connection point for the oil pressure gauge because some engines have a blanking plug on the main engine oil gallery. Remove the oil pressure switch in most cases. Select the suitable adapter to the engine. Connect the hose quick connector directly to the adapter or by the 90˚ angle connector. Start/crank the engine. Bleed air from the pressure hose by the bleed valve with thumb. Tips: A cloth is available to soak up the small amount of oil that may spill from the bleed valve while bleeding the hose. Release the bleed valve and the live oil pressure reading should be seen on the gauge while the engine is being cranked or run.
