A handsome small-format 18th-century French volume of Moliere’s works, containing several plays from the third volume of this edition, including La Critique de l’Ecole des Femmes, L’Impromptu de Versailles, La Princesse d’Elide, Le Mariage Force, and Dom Juan ou Le Festin de Pierre. Illustrated with engraved plates before several plays. Contemporary mottled leather binding with gilt-decorated spine, marbled endpapers, and patterned page edges. Size: 6 x 3.5 x 0.75 inches. Condition: Good antique condition. Binding shows rubbing, scuffing, worn corners, and wear at spine ends, with some loss and surface abrasion to the leather.
