It is from Thiers Atlas por Histoire de la Revolution Francaise (Paris: Furne, 1880). The map itself is well documented on the map: the title of the atlas title appears in the upper left margin, the title in the top center, the plate number in the upper right, the designer's name in the bottom left, the publisher in bottom center and the engraver in the bottom right. A copy of the title page with the date is also included for authenticity. This series of maps were designed to illustrate the terrain of the battles of the French Revolution. They are very detailed in terms of the topography and are generally focused around a particular region, battlefield or campaign, although military positions are generally not shown. They are not matted nor mounted, sold as an individual sheet. It is published without a centerfold. Size: The map image measures approximately 8 by 13 inches on a 10 1/2 by 17" page with a margin all around for framing as seen in the pic. Condition: The map is in Very Good or better condition, a nice dark impression printed on a bright clean page, blank on the reverse side. The map is very clean with no defects to mention other than the occasional random small spots in the marginsand darkening around the edges. The pics are of the actual map you are bidding.
