Among very early metal ornaments are those made by the toy makers in Nurmberg, Germany, in the 1800s. Made of a metal alloy using primarily tin, the liquid metal was poured in to molds, and then hand lacquered as you see them. These various boxes being listed today are vintage, not reproductions. I guarantee that.
