The photo was printed from a 10 by 18 inch negative exposed in an aerial camera mounted in the nose of an RF-9J photo reconnaissance aircraft. It was taken by the Marine Air Reserve Training Detachment of the New Orleans Naval Air Station. Making the presentation in the mayor's office are Captain Weimer B. Tracy Jr., commanding officer of the Naval Air Station, and Lt. Col. Walter C. Kelly (right) commanding officer of the Marine Air Reserve Training Detachment. Photo measures 10 x 8.25 inches.
