1970 THE STORY OF OSCAR: Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences which is also accompanied with a signed letter dated June 25, 1970 from the office of Margaret Herrick (Executive Director at the time). Which only adds to the authenticity of this piece. The letter goes on to discuss how “The Story of Oscar” was sent to The Academy Film Service along with the 42nd Academy Awards Program (which is also available on my account). RARE METER: 10/10 - Beyond Rare! Can’t and won’t ever find this anywhere, it simply doesn’t exist. One of a kind! LANGUAGE: English PAGES: 24 (The Story of Oscar), 1 (Signed Letter) MEASURES: 8.5” x 11” CONDITION: Light corner and edge wear in the form of discoloration, yellowing, small crimps and or creases. Item was in great condition- tightly packaged- and just like it looks in the picture. Sometimes I worry about covers matching when I order books online, but I had nothing to worry about! The price for such an old book was also incredibly and why I'm keeping my eye on this store for future purchases. I also want to say this seller was very empathetic and communicative when the package arrived in time, but the post office wouldn't ship it correctly. The issue wasn't on them, but they still cared!
The book which I purchased was packed in a bubble wrap envelope and shipped promptly. It was exactly as described: a rare and beautifully bound edition in perfect condition. With that considered, the price was quite reasonable.
