Guitarist Andres Segovia will give a recital here next March 14--his first in about eight years--and two days later will receive an honorary doctorate degree from Loyola University. The latter inspired the former. According to Loyola's president, the Reverend James C. Carter, S.J., the recital was arranged at Segovia's request, at 8 p.m. at the Theater of the Performing Arts. And it was the legendary musician's wish that proceeds from the event be used to acquire for the Loyola library material on the culture of Spain and Latin America.Photo measures 6 x 8.25inches.
