It is hardened by thermal treatment to a wide range of mechanical properties. This grade is always Magnetic. Internal Tooth Lock Washers are a hardened curcular washer that have twisted prongs called "teeth" which extend inward from the inside edge of the washers. These lock washers are preffered when the finished appearance is crucial and the teeth must be hidden under the head.
