Front: The Alba from Sunrise Avenue, Palm Beach, Florida. Back: A front view of the Alba Hotel, Palm Beach, Florida, reared on the site of the old Palm Beach Hotel, which was destroyed with the old Breakers Hotel by fire on March 18, 1925. The Alba is named after the Spanish Duke de Alba. – E.C. KROPP CO., MILWAUKEE. Research has found that after closing in the 1970s it was completely gutted in 1980 and reopened in 1981 as a 128-unit luxury condominium building.
