Description
Accurate Simulations Iraqi Freedom: Thirty Days to Baghdad, new release!. It's not enough to win the war, you have to prevail diplomatically, as well. Iraqi Freedom: Thirty Days to Baghdad, is a new design based upon Operation Iraqi Freedom, the 2003 invasion of Iraq and the the hunt for Saddam Hussein. This is effectively the only wargame designed about the 2003 invasion and the toppling of Saddam's regime, based on the Desert Storm system (and requires the Desert Storm core rules to play). Not only does it simulate the invasion, it also simulates the hunt for Iraq's leadership and Ba'ath party officials, represented in the game as High Value Target chits. This is exceptionally dynamic during the game because not only do players have to fight the war, but they have to deal with the escape attempts of the Iraqi leadership, including Saddam himself. It's not enough to win the war, you have to prevail diplomatically, as well. Better yet, this game includes an entire Desert Storm supplement kit with new rules, historical scenarios, war analysis, and even extra counters, not to mention everything needed to play out the 2003 invasion of Iraq. The game includes new pieces, such as stealth bombers, different types of smart bombs, High Value Targets, burning oil wells (one of the objectives of the Iraqi player), new types of aircraft (such as the F-14) and units included in the game, special forces units, Rangers, Peshmerga, as well as various insurgent groups that appear and will try to disrupt the U.S.'s war aims. This game will present the real challenges of the war from all perspectives. This game is brand new and still in cellophane zip-log bag, and was designed purposefully to fit in your Desert Storm box. Moreover, the game can be played alone by simply using the core movement and combat rules from Desert Storm, which are available upon request) This game includes two medium MOUNTED maps of Iraq (from the Kuwaiti border up to nearly Turkey and the north city of Mosul), one full countersheet of 154 game pieces, a separate terrain card for easy reference during play, one rules booklet, as well as the Desert Storm supplement kit featuring all new content for Desert Storm, including a campaign scenario that allows Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom to be played together, as well as individually, of course, but with bonus game pieces to add to both games.
