This auction is for a seed-grown Japanese Maple tree. It was grown from seed collected from an Acer palmatum 'Inazuma Thunder' tree. This year's seedling. An interesting descendent of one of Japan's oldest cultivars. Seed grown Japanese Maples can closely resemble the parent tree or they can differ considerably, depending on the genotype (genetic makeup) of the seed. Each tree is a potential new variety that can be propagated by cloning or grafting. You never know what kind of phenotypes (general characteristics like morphology, leaf shape, growth rate, etc.) you'll get when growing from seed, but you can be sure they will be awesome!
