WINNING BIDS FROM ANY OF THESE STATES WILL BE CANCELED, NO EXCEPTIONS Acer palmatum ‘Pink Princess’ is a dwarf green Japanese Maple that is variegated with pink and white edges. This cultivar was reportedly found as a witches broom growing on a ‘Beni shichihenge’ tree. ‘Pink Princess’ was found and named by Carl Munn of OR. This tree is best described as a dwarf form of ‘Beni shichihenge’ from our observations. This tree is reported to grow in a globe shape and should reach about 4’ wide and tall in 10 years. The dark green leaves have a distinct band of pink variegation around the leaves in the spring. The pink fades to a cream white color during the summer. Fall foliage appears to be orange and red. This is new to our nursery, so I don’t have much more detail on this tree at this time. Zones: 5b-8. You are bidding on the actual tree that appears in the 2nd-7th photographs. The first photograph is the foliage from another ‘Pink Princess’ which we’ve included to show the spring variegation. The tree for sale is a NICE 2 year old grafted tree. The approximate height of this tree is 24" (inches) and the width is 15” (inches). Pink Princess, like Butterfly and Beni shishihengi, can sometimes show reversions, where one leaf or small branch shows only green leaves with no variegation. These reversions should be pruned off each spring to maintain the variegation on this tree. IF YOU NEED US TO HOLD YOUR TREE(S), PLEASE DO NOT PAY UNTIL YOU ARE READY FOR US TO SHIP.
