Antique Wedgwood Jasperware Dark Blue Dip Planter Pot Up for sale is a very fine antique Wedgwood Dark Blue Dip Planter or Flowerpot. It measures 4-1/2" high by 5" across the flared rim with a somewhat unusual tapered bell or tulip shape. It features scenes from the Neo-Classical Greek Sacrifice series, framed by a wreath of belle-fleurs above and acanthus leaves at the base. The base is stamped "WEDGWOOD" in sans serif type, along with a separate "MADE IN ENGLAND". Also stamped with the number 5 (?) which may refer to the month of production or might be the potter's mark. It is also incised with the letter "Z" which I believe denotes a production year of 1897. Interior discoloration from use. In otherwise exceptionally fine antique condition. ***** Please read the following before bidding - thank you!
