Description
This is a Beethoven Super Minor Model battery powered radio manufactured in the UK. From the note inside regarding the "Irish Free State" it must have been manufactured before December 1937 when the IFS became Eire. I have had this radio for over 40 years and when I got it I recapped it (see photos) and had it working. I used a stack of 9V batteries for HT, one 9 V for the two grid bias (C) voltages adjusted by two pots and a 1.5V cell for the filaments. I haven't powered it on for many years but I believe it should still work. It's a great art-deco design case. It's a TRF not a superhet and the volume is actually the regeneration/reaction control. Uses VP2, PM2HL x2 and KT2 valves (tubes) and covers medium and long wave
