New Sealed Kit At the start of WWII, it could be argued that Japan had one of the most modern Merchant Navy in the World. This class was a large, fast transport and like many of her contemporaries, had had her construction subsidized in the event the Navy would need ships like this for an upcoming conflict. Kamikawa Maru was built for the Kawasaki line. Kamikawa Maru and two of her sisters, Kiyokawa Maru and Kimikawa Maru, were taken over in 1937 and converted to Seaplane Tenders to serve remote island outpost of the Empire. In 1943, Kamikawa Maru was sunk before she could be re-rated as a transport The model can be built in either version. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/KamikawaMaru-classseaplanetender#/media/File:KamikawaMaru.JPG https://www.combinedfleet.com/Kamikawac.htm See Photos Hi, I'm Chris I am not a dealer or a "store", I'm a collector/ builder I'm clearing out around 500 kits; mostly ships and trains, some aircraft, that I've collected over the years. Most are new, opened only for inspection and admiration. Most trains are new or like new; anything otherwise is noted Some kits have been started and are semi-complete, in a modular state, ready to paint and where finishing would be easy. As such, ALL kits have been fully inspected, inventoried, photographed, and if there are any shortcomings...they are noted. These are "Round Tuits" but time and reality have crept in. The research involved for each one has actually been the better part of the build for me. Make me an offer; I'd rather something get built and enjoyed than sitting in a box gathering dust. I combine Shipping !! You pay what I pay...I take the time to calculate shipping by size and weight and that's what you pay.
