Description

The postcard features Lee Vining Canyon and Tioga Pass, named after Lee Vining who operated a sawmill in the area in 1863. The lumber produced at the sawmill was sold in the mining town of Aurora. The Lundy and Tioga mines in the region were not operated by the Great Sierra Consolidated Silver Mining Co.
