Description

The postcard features a Confederate Battery on Lookout Mountain, Tennessee, overlooking Chattanooga and the Tennessee River. The cannon shown belonged to Garrity's Alabama Battery, positioned on Lookout Mountain on November 24, 1863, facing the Union Army in the valley below and protecting the heights of Lookout Mountain.
