This UV-resistant rubber also stands up to several chemicals, ranging from acetone to nitrates. About This Product Rubber-Cal's EPDM sheet rubber is a versatile product with superior resistance to intense physical conditions. This synthetic rubber compound is made of a combination of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) to inherit the strengths of both materials. The addition of styrene rubber gives this elastomer sheeting a high level of physical durability and endurance for use in demanding applications. This EPDM material has a 60 Amp durometer, meaning that it is hard, but retains flexibility and pliability. This synthetic elastomer has excellent durability against damaging weather conditions. While other rubber materials fail under prolonged exposure to elements such as UV rays, ozone, and moisture, this outdoor rubber is specially designed to handle such extreme physical conditions. This UV-resistant rubber also stands up to several chemicals, ranging from acetone to nitrates. The chemical resistance of EPDM makes the synthetic rubber sheeting ideal for industrial locations which could be at risk to certain corrosive substances. This resistant rubber sheet also has a wide temperature range and performs well in temperatures from -40°F to 212°F. Our EPDM rubber sheeting is available in 8 different gauges ranging from 1/32 in. to 1/2 in. to fit the needs of any desired application. This 3/16 in. sheet rubber is one of the slightly thicker options available and works great in a variety of indoor and outdoor applications. Highlights Versatile all-purpose rubber with a good level of pliability and a smooth, black finish Offers high resistance to outdoor conditions including moisture, ozone, and UV rays Excellent chemical resistance, making it an effective material for durable industrial components Works well in heats of -40°F to 212°F, providing a wide-ranging temperature tolerance 3/16 in. is a slightly thicker option of 8 available gauges and is versatile for countless applications
