Following the departure of frontman Peter Gabriel, drummer Phil Collins stepped forward as lead vocalist. The 1976 album A Trick of the Tail became a major success, marking the beginning of a new golden era for the band. For the A Trick of the Tail Tour, the band brought in Bill Bruford (ex-Yes, King Crimson) as a second drummer so Collins could focus on vocals. The concert recorded on April 15, 1976, in Cleveland, Ohio, was originally taped for the famous radio program King Biscuit Flower Hour, but was shelved at the time when a London performance was selected for broadcast instead. This CD release comes from the rediscovered master recording. The live album features the complete concert, including medleys and encores. The setlist focuses on material from A Trick of the Tail, along with a medley from The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway and classic selections such as “White Mountain” from Trespass.
