This is the real thing, a Tecumseh Brand Compressor and comes with a one-year warranty. Tecumseh old model AEA4440 is now AE4440. Tecumseh Genuine New AE4440Y, 1/3 HP, Compressor, For Coolers, 115VAC, R134a/R12 Medium Temperature applications like Cooler! This IS NOT intended for low-temperature applications like freezers! Do not use this on a freezer, wrong application. For coolers period! This compressor will work on both R134a and R12 systems. We have been using them for both in our service department since 2000. R12 can work with the Mineral oil or the PAG oil or the Ester lubricants and that is a fact! This compressor has the new PAG oil which will work with both R134a and R12 refrigerants.
