GODDESS ATHENA BRONZE STATUE Athena, daughter of Zeus, was the goddess of intelligence, wisdom, resourcefulness and strategic thought. She was also the protectress of women, female crafts, the poetic symbol of reason and purity. Athena the patron goddess of the city Athens was very important to the Greeks, since they named her the Iliad’s goddess of fight, the warrior-defender, the protector of civilized life. The owl was the symbol for Athena. According to myth, an owl sat on Athena's blind side, so that she could see the whole truth. All our bronze items, are cast in Greece, using the traditional 'lost wax' method. As nothing is mass-produced, there will inevitably be slight variations in patination and colouring.
