" This is what We-Do ! ". Just " Legendary ". I think the Sports & Rock Fans in the Good Ol' U.S.A. ( who are well-in-the-know ) always really considered The Boston Garden ! & McArthur Court ! ( Duck U. ! - in The Euge ! ) to truly be the " Good Ol' Buildings !!! " in the Country. And, while the Boston Garden was closed in 1995, and sadly demolished in 1998 ... MacCourt was fully-operational for Ducks Sports & Rock ! for another 15-years ! ( and still stands ! - being semi-operational still here-today ! ). Point being ... that These-Buildings had " Unique ! " Acoustic-Advantages ( to say the very-least ) - which sadly became sort of a lost art form - with many ' modern ' Venue facilities - having kind of ... cookie-cutter acoustics ( at least in my own opinion ). And, sometimes a little-leaky, or not - one thing is for most-certain ... the Dead literally " Crushed !!! " these places - and, while MacCourt only got the Royal-Dead ! Treatment in 1969, 1978 & 1981 ... the Good Ol' Boston Garden Got-It an " Impressive !!! " Twenty-Four ( 24 ! ) Times !! ... from April 2nd, 1973 ( 4/2/73 ) through October 3rd, 1994 ( 10/3/94 ). Lots of Top-Notch-Caliber ! & Mesmerizing !! Shows too - with many ultimately pro-released on G.D. Dick's Picks, Dave's Picks, Box Sets, etc. - with the 1973 - 1974 - 1977 - 1991 - 1994 Shows coming to me ' top-of-mind ' ... right-off the Top ! of my Dead-Head !! - Ha ! But, as for this " Last & Final ! " 1994 Grateful Dead stand at The-Garden ! - and even more so - this October 1, 1994 ( 10/1/1994 ) Grateful Dead Show ! This-One was indeed the Last/Final ( One More ! ) Saturday Night of Live-Dead before they ultimately " Tore That Old Building Down !!! ". The Grateful Dead were indeed scheduled to return to the Garden on the planned 1995 Fall Tour, and tickets were sold / issued accordingly ... but, due to the untimely passing of Jerry Garcia, this '95 Fall Tour run at the Garden sadly never became a reality. In fact, the Dead were booked to be one of the Final Music Acts at this Historic & Rustic Northeast U.S. Sports & Music Venue - if maybe not even the last ? Point being, it was widely known that the old Boston Garden was going to be demolished - for the ' new ' Boston Garden. And, knowing this well in advance, the Grateful Dead even added a little History & Fun to the mix by printing " We're Going To Tear This Old Building Down !
