Wow !! As I very-distinctly remember hearing this 2-CD pro-release Set in 2008 when it was originally released - and then thinking to myself --- where have YOU ! been all my life ?!? This is creative blistering & burning Grateful Dead at its peak, at least to my ears & mind ... Wow !!! I've always been a fanatic for 1977 Dead, but despite trying to acquire as much of it as I could on analog cassettes - I had never heard the 10/11/77 Oklahoma or 10/7/77 Show, where brilliant tracks are featured throughout this 2-Disc Set. I was well familiar with the 10/16/77 Baton Rouge & 10/11/77 Hofheinz Shows, but it sure was a real treat to hear them in masterfully remastered versions like this ! Thanks Jeff Norman !! My goodness, Disc 1 kicks off with a Let It Grow and the band just takes it straight to Mars !! I thought wow, is this Jerry Garcia or Jimmy Page on guitar ?? Ha ! Smokin'-Hot ... The set list compilation on these three discs is also excellently arranged, and the energy in this music speaks for itself - all through & through. Simply beware of this nasty fret-board attack Phil lays down on the Other One ascension, as it's one of the ( many ) historic bomb droppings he has bestowed upon the Deadhead Faithful. Totally awesome ... If you love & collect fine 1977 Grateful Dead Archives, then this one is Most-Definitely for Just ! for You !! Fall Tour '77 !!! Enjoy !!!!!
