If planted in your garden design, it can live in the full sun and not suffer leaf burn after it has been in the ground for some time as once the roots grow deep enough underground to keep cool. If you are keeping it in a pot or Bonsai pot, then it does need some shade protection from the hot sun temperatures. The last photo shows fall leaf colors. I use a shade umbrella to protect my trees on those days. I include a pak of bark fines & perlite and a pak of planting organics for your next repot.
