This is a Figured GONCALO ALVES ( astronium fracinifolium ) back and side set for building an acoustic guitar. Sometimes called tigerwood, this wood has tonal qualities that are between rosewood and Koa. Finishes very nicely, this is a closed pored wood. Silky smooth texture. Bends well and holds its shape. I really enjoy building with this wood and have had outstanding results. The measurements are as follows: back boards (each half)- 8.25" x 21.5" x .130+"thick. The sides(each half) 5" x 32.5" x .130+". All of my guitar sets are properly dried and seasoned and ready for sanding. Bid with Confidence! Sanding service is $20 per set.
