H. M. Pulham Esquire by John Marquand 1944 Armed Services Edition G-208 VG+ - NF. VG+ - NF. Issued in March 1944 by Editions For The Armed services, Inc. Softcover (4.5” X 6.5”) G-208. Marquand’s novel provided the basis for the 1941 King Vidor film version, which starred Robert Young and Hedy Lamarr. The film also featured a very young Charles Coburn, as well as an uncredited Ava Gardner in a background shot. Lovely copy of the Armed Services Edition, which was still a fledgling operation - only 6 or 7 months old at that point. VG+ - NF. Issued in March 1944 by Editions For The Armed services, Inc.
