This beautiful piece of 20th century American art . with it's stunning details and gorgeous shading combined with the right amount of superficial scrapes, and frayed canvas, results in the perfect patina for it's era; America's bicentennial. from the late 60s through the 80s this style of nautical art was so popular box dept stores were hiring scores of artists to crank out work in an assembly line fashion; between this and the lithograph prints the markets were flooded. with generic clipper paintings. however this piece was no print this master piece is authentic hand painted one of a kind piece of art.
