This one of a kind Vintage Handmade Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Brooch features a large Baltic Amber stone, giving it a unique and elegant look. Baltic amber is fossilized tree resin from Eocene coniferous trees, approximately 40-45 million years old, found primarily along the Baltic Sea. Artisan hand crafted, one of a kind, the silverwork is so delicate & pretty, a crafted silver leaf encircled by tiny silver embellishments. The pin & clasp is functional, but in a hand made kind of way. Unmarked sterling, no makers mark. Pin is approximately 3" x 1.5", stone is about 1" x 1.5". Artistry and presence not found in todays mass produced jewelry, a rare thing of beauty and charm.
