Description
This 1976 Stereo/Quadraphonic album from Angel Records (S-37172) presents several Scottish Folk Songs by Haydn & Beethoven, sung by Janet Baker (mezzo-soprano) and accompanied by Yehudi Menuhin (violin), George Malcom (harpsichord and piano), and Ross Pople (cello). Album notes are in English by Ronald Kinloch Anderson. A large (album-sized) insert sheet contains the lyrics. Also included is a photocopy of the album's review in the March, 1976 issue of Gramophone magazine. The album shows a small collection index sticker in the upper right corner of the back. (Photo 2) The original Angel plastic inner sleeve is included, but as it has split entirely down its end seam, we are enclosing the record in a new white paper sleeve. This is one of many titles from an extensive collection of classical LPs and CDs that we will be listing here. All have been carefully stored for many years, played only on premium equipment, and show little to no wear. NOTES: Album sleeves may have a small index sticker, usually in the upper right corner of the back, which was applied when the album was first purchased for this private collection.
