Unique Provenance & Fraternal History: This particular volume belonged to lifelong Mason Percy E. Sudsbury and features his personal embossed library seal on the front flyleaf. The inner cover serves as a historical record of his Masonic achievements, neatly documenting the exact dates he was Raised (May 29, 1957), achieved his 32nd Degree (October 29, 1959), and entered the York Rite, Knight Mason, and Allied Masonic Degrees through the early 1990s. Included Ephemera / Research Notes: Tucked inside the pages are two original personal bookmarks/artifacts left by the original owner: An illustrated commemorative bookmark for the "Friend to Friend Masonic Memorial at Gettysburg." A handwritten index card tracking the text's coverage of Confederate General Lewis Armistead and Union Major General Winfield Scott Hancock, mapping out their appearances on pages 114, 162, 163, and 164 along with their respective historical home lodges (Alexandria-Washington #22 and Charity #190). Condition Notes: Exterior: The blue cloth boards are structurally square with clean gilt spine lettering.
