IMPALED NORTHERN MOONFOREST (Anal Cunt) - Impaled Northern Moonforest. Impaled Northern Moonforest was formed at 3 a.m. on a cold night by Seth Putnam and Josh Martin of ANAL CUNT, born out of boredom and a desire to parody the sound of a “True Norwegian Black Metal band.” With people asleep nearby, the duo opted for an acoustic approach, Martin on guitar and Putnam providing percussion by slapping his knees. True to their ethos, Impaled Northern Moonforest never rehearsed, as “practicing is for posers,” yet they still managed to perform several live shows across Boston, Rhode Island, Colorado, and even Japan. The project came to an end with the passing of Seth Putnam in 2011.
