The half page comic is approximately 36 x 25.5 cm, or about 14.2 x 10 inches. Condition Here are some general condition notes for this set of comics: There are a few small tears around the edges in the margins (larger tears are mentioned below). These comics are old and tanned, but can be handled with ease. Some dates, and/or edges, might be more tanned than others. Condition notes are predominately focused on the comic on the front side (comic featured for the auction). The color register is often off at least a but, but the printing generally pretty really good with these comics (nice color). Examine the photos to see how the comics look. These still look great despite our attention to detail on taking notes. In general, we rate the color register issues in the following (with increasing severity). This is just a quick assessment as we go through the set. Color register off a tiny bit - 3 dates Color register off a bit - 5 dates Color register is off some - 12 dates Color register is off - 4 dates mentioned below Some dates have some slight ink transfer, but this is normally pretty minor. We also observed light ink bleed-through (did not note every case). The date is sometimes written in the margin of the reverse side. Some margins might be a bit narrow and there might be a few small binding holes in some margins (we mentioned some dates). Some dates sat on the centerfold of the newspaper. We also made some notes of some date specific issues (we tried to avoid making too many notes, and instead preferred to go the generalized condition notes above). This should serve as a guide to the condition of the set, it is possible that we have not caught everything: INDIVIDUAL DATE CONDITION NOTES 1-16 There is light to moderate ink transfer across the comic 1-23 The color register is off some on the paper doll only page. 2-13 There is light to moderate, and even some heavy, ink transfer in areas of the comic. 3-20 There is moderate ink transfer across the top of the paper doll. 3-27 There is moderate to heavy ink transfer across the paper doll. 4-17 The color register is off and there is moderate to heavy ink transfer across the paper doll. 5-22 The paper doll is folded/creased over twice on the right side. There is also light ink transfer and the color register is off a bit. On the comic, the bottom margin is narrow and the color register is off some. The comic and paper doll are separate on this day. 6-12 The bottom margin is very narrow and the color register is off. 6-26 The color register is off some, but a bit more so in the bottom right corner. 7-24 The color register is off some on the paper doll. 7-31 The color register is off. 9-4 The color register is off and there is a small interior tear/cut along the edge of the left side of the comic, about 2 cm long. 9-25 There is a little light ink transfer. 10-30 There is a little light ink transfer and more bleed through from the reverse side. 12-11 There is a little light ink transfer or bleed through.
