Sometimes you just see something that jumps out and speaks to you as being very special immediately. Sometimes you have to bond with the art to absorb its power and significance. The latter is the case with this very vintage abstract modernist painting from Palm Springs. Although it is unsigned and the artist is unknown to me, there is no question in my mind but that this one belongs in the Whitney or The Broad or in a prestigious Japanese museum of modern art. The intriguing vintage stamps on the canvas are very puzzling to me and add to the intrigue and mystery of the piece, but I am sure art experts will quickly recognize their significance to the painting. The canvas measures 26 x 35 inches and is in exactly the good vintage condition you would expect for a treasured painting appreciated and much enjoyed for so many years, as shown in the photos. The painting exudes hints of Kandinsky and the avant-garde artists of the period, but seems to be a bit more minimalist to have been one of his.

The “rare” print I purchased was actually photographically generated…pixels visible under magnifying glass…not worth the price of the paper it was printed on. That being said, the dealer was outstanding when I brought this to his attention! I was issued a full refund immediately, and was told to not return the print. I appreciated this dealers integrity!
