For sale is an aesthetically pleasing antique primitive wooden staved bucket with original red paint and a swing handle in Excellent condition. Highly attractive ox blood paint! All staves are solid and the iron bands are all wrought iron and also solid and stable. There are two hoops overlapping for the lower one which is uncommon but both hoops are old and handmade. See pictures. One of the peg/pin for the swing handle is replaced. Some loss to the bottom rim but sits stably with no wobble. It's rare to find such solid bucket like this. It would look great as part of a primitive display. Such buckets with wooden lap were used in the 19th C and earlier.
