The tree gets rather large, as you can see from the photos. It fruits in clusters, starting out green and then turning a dark purple/black when fully ripe. The fruit have a tear drop shape and are enjoyed by all that have tried them. They say the fruit is sweet like most Jaboticaba but have a unique flavor profile. The tree is in an area that can see temps as low as -3 degrees Celsius (26F), so it should cold hardy and be able to take some slight frosts.
