This is a interesting variety originating from the Agreste Pernambucano sub-region (transition between the Mata Zone and the Sertão), at an altitude of almost 700 m. According to historical records, in the past it represented an area of forests, deforestated from the 19th century for the cultivation of cassava and sugarcane. This jaboticaba is characterized by large fruit (c. 3 cm in diameter), sweet and tasty, usually with only 1-2 small seeds. Its peel is smooth and glabrous (devoid of hairiness), crowned by sepals persistent even with the ripe fruit. The leaves are dark green, medium-long and narrow, with a sharp base. sprouts are hairy and with a reddish axis.
