Description: A vintage pair of pleated chinos, made in the USA from a cotton twill fabric for Polo Ralph Lauren in the 1980s. The colour is a very interesting cross between grey and green - and not olive but somewhat faded. Lightweight and breathable yet sturdy fabric - perfect for the warmer months ahead. The contemporary 'Whitman Chino' is largely inspired by these 1980s-90s pieces. Definitely a wide-leg, relaxed fit - inspired by the trouser silhouettes of the 1930s. Other key features include: YKK zipper (picture 4), double inward-facing pleats, two slash pockets at front and two back-pockets, horn buttons with marbled pattern, and the iconic 'Authentic Dry Goods' tag (picture 8). Condition: In overall good condition considering its age, with no holes, tears or stains. The only 'flaw' to note are two small scuffs near to the waistband (picture 9), which is not a hole/tear and is unnoticeable when worn. These trousers were washed and then stored away - so any creases or 'dryness' will disappear once worn, as the fabric softens and eases up.
