Postcard Caernarvon Caernarfon Castle Fortress Fortification Gwynedd Wales RPPC Real Photo Series Posted. Good vintage condition. Small yellow stain at the top left on the frontside of the card, also another yellow stain at the back top left. All corners slightly bent . No visible damage to the edges. Dirt spots, discoloration, creasing, scratches, missing paint and stains marks may be visible on single or both sides of the postcard. Good condition for its age. Please look at the photos for condition details. Additional details : Caernarfon Castle is a medieval fortress in Gwynedd, north-west Wales. The first fortification on the site was a motte-and-bailey castle built in the late 11th century, which King Edward I of England began to replace with the current stone structure in 1283.
