Rare NILOAK Antique MISSON SWIRL Pottery Vase Lamp Base First Mark Great Color. This particular item has a corked hole in the bottom made to be sold to lamp makers. An after production. This can be explained in David Edwin Gifford's Niloak second edition book on page 148 (see last pic). Up for bid here is a rare antique Niloak pottery vase/lamp base in the Mission Swirl pattern with a soft blue, tan brown and soft white swirls for detail. ca 1910-. Please excuse the camera reflection glares, white spots and shadows. Please see pics and read the description carefully. This vase/lamp base is in very good pre-owned condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. This particular item has a corked hole in the bottom made to be sold to lamp makers. An after production. This can be explained in David Edwin Gifford's Niloak second edition book on page 148 (see last pic). It measures approx. 8" tall, 4" wide at the shoulder by 3 1/4" wide across the top. The very bottom is incised in the first Niloak art mark and a few pencil letters and numbers.
