As funky and contemporary a soul-oriented set as Ruth ever cut, its tight backing tracks were laid down in Muscle Shoals, producer Jerry “Swamp Dogg” Williams. Disc two combines material from two more Brown albums from the same era, both done at Gold Star Studios in Hollywood. 1978’s You Don’t Know Me showcasing Ruth in an intimate after-hours trio setting led by pianist Lou Levy and the following year’s Touch Me in the Morning subtly expanded her combo, producer Herb Jeffries escorting Ruth into more contemporary directions. 1.   2. Received item as described and packaged well. Listing indicated shipping was free. Ordered on the 7th but by the 14th noticed it hadn’t been shipped yet. Seller responded quickly saying that during the purchase process that it said it would not be shipped until the 22nd because they use a fulfillment house. I don’t recall seeing anything about delayed shipping during the process or in the listing. While I appreciate the prompt response to my inquiry, other buyers should be aware of delays.
