RARE ESTATE FIND!! This is a charming and rare, Shawnee Pottery Pig Cookie Jar and BOTH the 3 inch and 5 inch Salt & Pepper Shaker sets! This rare collection of Shawnee was produced in the mid 1940s. There were several different patterns for the Pig collection, this one is "Chrysanthemum" version of the series. The Vintage Shawnee Smiley Pig Chrysanthemum Smile Cookie Jar & Shakers set from the 1940s features a whimsical and charming design with a floral pattern. The medium-sized ceramic and porcelain cookie jar, featuring a lift-off lid, showcases a smiley pig character that adds a playful touch to any kitchen or home decor. The original set includes a lid and is made in the United States, embodying a vintage/retro style that reflects the nostalgia and charm of the past. Perfect for storing and organizing cookies and other kitchen essentials. The salt & pepper shakers are in good vintage condition. The cookie jar is showing minimal normal age related wear. No chips, cracks or defects, the paint is clean and bright. Some slight age related fading on the scarf. All in all, this cookie jar and shaker set is in remarkably good shape.
