Up for auction is a truly one-of-a-kind vintage souvenir salt and pepper shaker set from Amarillo, Texas — and we've never seen another quite like it! This ceramic set features two grinning skulls with striking gold-accented teeth seated side-by-side in a rectangular holder. The front of the base is decorated with hand-painted maple leaves in green and red, along with the script inscription "Amarillo Texas." The individual skull shakers lift out of the base holder for use. The reverse side features a single red maple leaf motif. The bottom is marked PATENTED and bears a red Made in Japan stamp, dating this piece to approximately the 1940s–1960s era of American souvenir pottery.
