The beautiful hand painted tile features a scene from a coastal village on the Amalfi Coast of Italy. Though un-signed, this is made in the same style as tiles made by Creazioni Luciano in Salerno, Italy in the 1970s. This 4.25" wide by 9.25" tall thick ceramic tile has lovely dimensional details and a glossy finish. The wire hanger is incorporated into the tile so it's hangs flat. This tile was likely purchased on a trip to the Mediterranean in 1971. It hung on a wall in a spare room for years so it is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration. the unglazed back has marks from hanging and residue from an old price sticker. Since these are not seen when this hangs, this does not affect the display quality. Please note that the wood holder is for display only and not included in the sale. Arrived ahead of schedule, securely each item encased in bubblewrap and well cushioned in a cardboard box. The lidded dish and 4 mini plates were exactly as described. I definitely would order from this seller again.
