Vintage Metlox Poppytrail Blue & White Stoneware Teapot, Made in California, 11”. Beautiful vintage stoneware teapot by Metlox from the Poppytrail line, made in California, USA. This piece features a classic blue and white hand-decorated farm scene with a horse and countryside motif, a signature look of mid-century American studio pottery. The teapot has an elegant tall form with a conical lid and sculptural finial, finished in a speckled glaze typical of Metlox Poppytrail stoneware. It displays very well as a decorative collectible and also works as a striking statement piece for farmhouse, rustic, or country-style interiors. Height: approximately 11,25 inches. Mark on base: “Metlox – Poppytrail – Made in California”. Condition: Vintage condition. There is a small chip on the rim/neck area (see photos), along with some glaze wear consistent with age and use. No cracks observed. A great collectible example of mid-century American pottery.
