Vintage Skyros Handpainted Ceramic 7” Round, Ruffled Edged Bowl, Greek Folk Art. The back of the bowl is marked Skyros with the initials K. N. Skyros is known for their colorful, stylized nature scenes of birds and flowers reflected in Greek folk art. There is a coral pink band on the rim of the bowl, and blue-coral pink-blue band on the outside body of the bowl. Offering for sale, a vintage 7-1/4” diameter, ruffled edge, colorful ceramic art pottery Skyros bowl. The back of the bowl is marked Skyros with the initials K. N. Skyros is known for their colorful, stylized nature scenes of birds and flowers reflected in Greek folk art. The bowl is thought to have been made in the time frame of 1964-1994 based on Internet research. This ruffled edge bowl features a stylized, lavender hummingbird among blue, turquoise and red flowers with green leaves. There is a coral pink band on the rim of the bowl, and blue-coral pink-blue band on the outside body of the bowl. This vintage bowl is used, and in very good condition. There is some glaze worn places on the ruffled rim. There are no nicks or chips or scratches, and the glaze is not crazed. Colors remain rich and vibrant. Check out the photos.
