Vintage panoramic photograph documenting a World War I training unit at Purdue University. The image shows Purdue University Training Detachment Company A, taken by photographer O.L. Foster on October 4, 1918 during World War I. Photographs like this were commonly made to record military training units such as machine gun battalions and depot brigades during the war. This piece represents Purdue University’s role in training soldiers for military service in 1918. Size: approximately 45 × 8.5 cm. Condition: the photograph itself appears in good condition with a couple of small bends. The frame has scratches. All visible imperfections are shown in the photos.
