WWII WW2 1938 US Marine Corps USMC Officer Blue Uniform STERLING EGA-COMBAT Off.. Fantastic set of double-sterling marked EGA's, as shown, matching. Super nice looking devices! Bullion captain's bars, which date this to 1942-3 for that rank. He served many stateside stations, and overseas in the war he was with the 15th AAA Bn., 15th and 16th Defense Battalions and maybe more. A great tunic and cloth belt, and the unusual removable white button-in collar--SUPER clean, no damage and little wear. Named to E N (Edward N) Rydalch and dated 1938, when he was commissioned. Fantastic set of double-sterling marked EGA's, as shown, matching. Super nice looking devices! Bullion captain's bars, which date this to 1942-3 for that rank. He ended up a Colonel in the 1950's, and he seems to have commanded an experimental unit in the mid 50's testing the use of helicopters and possible small nuclear devices to be fired from them. Chest is about a 38. Sleeve length seam to tip is 23.5". The pants have "o. 7171. S A.M." penned in them and I assume they are from another man. They are bright and have good color , no fading or etc., and have some moth nips scattered around. Waist is 36 and length is 33, so they are a bit large for this tunic. But they were found with it.
