GM Nunn kept the structure of GM Stean's 1976 work (see my listing), but totally re-worked the content to the point this one is entirely Nunn's update. He walks the variation tree with heavy dependence on game fragments. Figurine algebraic notation. Index of variations. 186 pages NOTE: This the first of 4 books on the Najdorf written by GM Nunn (see my listings). In 1986 expands this first version to 300 pages in "Najdorf for the Tournament Player". He then in 1996 writes a 320-page work on only the 6 Bg5 variation of the Najdorf. Finally, in 1998 he re-visits the other lines (those not 6 Bg5) in another 336 pages with help from GM Gallagher. Thus, between the 1996 and 1998 works the 186-page covered had blossomed into over 650 pages !! Come back often as I am liquidating a large collection.
