Item Description: Up for auction is a 3D resin printed 1/25 scale 1954 Oldsmobile 88 Super Holiday Coupe body as shown , made using ABS-like UV cured liquid resin. As with most 3D printed large surfaces, this has a matte finish and a grainy/layered feel as shown so prep work is required for a great finish, but the effort is well worth it to have a body not easily found otherwise. The layered or ringing finish is predominantly seen on the top surfaces (hood, roof, deck) due to the printed layer thickness set to .05mm (.0019") which provides the best print quality at an affordable price. T his body was printed to an overall length of 208.6mm, an overall width of 81.35mm and an overall height of 53.54mm, but please verify these dimensions to be acceptable as-is and will work for your specific project PRIOR to purchasing. 3D printed resin typically cures to a hard form which makes it more brittle to work with. I have started using the ABS-like resin to combat this, however care and patience should still be used when working with this material. Please research and understand 3D UV cured resin products to know exactly what to expect and the best ways to work with, prepare, assemble and paint it. Design by 3D Printable Shop This body is not intended to be completed with any specific kit. It is intended to be used in a kit-bash build. Should be an interesting project, and I've been doing models since 58, everything from AMT to TKM. I remember a neighbor years ago had one of these, I can replicate with photos I have. Plus a new cornerstone model for my 55-65 big Olds line in my collection. For what it's worth, I'd love to see a 53 Buick Super 2dr ht in this form. Appreciate your efforts.
