FUTURA2000 Original Hand-Drawn Graffiti Art Signed Unique Piece UNUSED japan Description Item Condition : Unused Very Good! This is a graffiti piece featuring "Point Man," a signature character by the legendary New York graffiti artist "Futura." In the United States, Futura is a living legend who worked alongside Warhol, Basquiat, Haring, and others from the early days of graffiti in the 1980s. However, this piece was hand-drawn by Futura himself around 1995, when he was still largely unknown in Japan. I framed it immediately after acquiring it and carefully stored it in a dark place, so there is absolutely no deterioration such as sun damage or fading. However, because it is a very delicate material, if you replace the frame, be sure to use one that protects against indoor sunlight, such as acrylic or UV-cut glass, to prevent deterioration. The acrylic panel has been removed for photography to reduce reflection. Although not shown in the images, the actual piece has a thin 1mm thick acrylic panel between the black mat and the original artwork to prevent warping or bending during framing. Frame dimensions: 12.05 inches x 15.6 inches x 0.79 inches Mat window dimensions: 5.83 inches x 9.45 inches The frame is made of wood, and the frame, mat, and edges of the mat are all finished in matte black. A separate A4-sized print featuring Futura's autograph, created for promotional purposes when Futura Laboratories was just launched as a brand in 1998, will be included. The pruner arrived in it's original package with bubble wrap as well. The writing was all in Japanese but I didn't care as I can always google it in English. It was sent via FedEx and the driver actually rang our doorbell letting me know he left the item on our front porch. Amy was terrific to work with and kept me apprised of when I should receive it and also responded quickly to a few questions I had.
